The University of Iowa Russian placement test is a multiple choice exam. Students who have experience in the language who want to continue study need to take a placement exam. This test is administered by the department and can be arranged by contacting the Division of World Language, Literatures, and Cultures. For those students who have completed four or more years of Russian language in high school, the UI offers the opportunity to earn incentive credit toward graduation through the Furthering Language Incentive Program (FLIP credit).
