The University of Iowa Russian placement test is a written and oral exam. Students who have experience in the language should email ui-lllc@uiowa.edu to schedule a time to meet (virtually or in-person) for the placement process

For those students who have completed four or more years of Russian language in high school, the UI offers the opportunity to earn incentive credit toward graduation through the Furthering Language Incentive Program (FLIP credit). If you are interested in earning FLIP credit, you should meet with your academic adviser to discuss eligibility.
