Test Description and Guidelines
The University of Iowa offers a Korean placement test designed to help you determine the most appropriate level for your language study.
The test is a multiple-choice exam conducted via ICON.

Scoring and Placement
The placement criteria for Korean are based on the percentage score achieved:
| Score (%) | Placement Recommendation | Course Title |
| Below 50% | KORE:1101 | First Year Korean: First Semester |
| 50% – 80% | KORE:1102 | First Year Korean: Second Semester |
| Above 80% | KORE:2101 | Second Year Korean: First Semester |
